FaZe AWPer Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács has been named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the ELEAGUE CS:GO Invitational by HLTV.org and betway.
The 27-year-old won the closely-contested race for the award after inspiring FaZe to complete the turnaround in the final against Cloud9 with a 2.11 rating on Train, racking up 34 kills in 25 rounds.
With his performance in the decider map, GuardiaN brought his tournament rating to 1.09 and beat off competition from teammates Håvard "rain" Nygaard and Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer, as well as from Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey, for the honour.
The Slovakian veteran was in the top five in eight stats leaderboards, leading the KDD (+30), AWP kills per round (0.48) and total AWP Kills (132) charts, while being joint-top for clutches won (4).
This is the eighth MVP medal of GuardiaN's career, the second since he joined FaZe after previously claiming the award at last year's IEM Sydney event.
